Educational Leadership (M.A.E.D.)

Students will be able to effectively establish instructional leadership that demonstrates continuous improvement practices (i.e., shared vision and mission; capacity building; data-informed decisions; targeted interventions and monitoring; ethical ideals and beliefs; and clear communication with all stakeholders).

Students will be able to create a healthy culture of teaching and learning that demonstrates equity and leverages educator strengths (i.e., stakeholder involvement and ownership; recognition and celebration; safe and supportive school climate; trauma-informed practices; high-quality teaching materials; and high-impact instructional practices).

Students will be prepared to demonstrate transformational leadership that engages educators in professional learning and growth practices (i.e., rigorous educator evaluation system; differentiated, high-impact professional learning; induction, support, retention, and growth of educators; development of teacher leaders; and self-evaluation and growth mindset).

Students will develop processes for the ethical management of all resources (i.e., community input; budget and fiscal; employees; inclusivity of diverse perspectives; operating procedures; and adherence to district, state, and federal policy).
